Meet the Team, Chris Bennett

As RealtyAds’ talented team continues to grow, we are highlighting dynamic team members from all departments. These individuals play an essential role in connecting our product with clients, and we believe it’s crucial to familiarize yourself with the team that provides support to both you and your company.

Chris has been a part of the RealtyAds team since its inception in 2019. Currently serving as the Vice President of User Experience and Design, Chris drives the development of all RealtyAds branded materials, as well as creatives for the ever-growing client roster. Also, overseeing a talented team of graphic designers who ensure all creative outputs are on-brand for RealtyAds and clients. Essential in this role and as a part of the team here at RealtyAds, Chris helps ensure the success of the RealtyAds team and all of our clients. 

What initially drew you to work for RealtyAds?

I was initially drawn to (and still am) the opportunity to help shape a brand from the ground up, build a tech platform from scratch design to full-scale production, and take on the challenge of changing minds and forming better habits in an industry in need.

Working at RealtyAds since its inception in 2019, how has the RealtyAds platform and AI adapted to continue to work better in CRE?

RealtyAds has been a true AI solution since before AI became the buzzword it is today. In 2019, RealtyAds was leveraging AI to automate a full-scale digital strategy’s launch, optimization, and reporting. Shortly after that, we integrated LLMs for tools like Reputation Management. As we’ve become more sophisticated as a company, that original tech has only gotten smarter and more efficient. In tandem, we’ve built new features, refined and partnered with more robust integrations, and ingested more and better data that’s continued to advance our product and drive value to our clients.

With your experience, what would you say has been the most significant change/pivot you’ve seen in the CRE industry in the last five years

Adopting digital channels to communicate has become key to successfully doing business in CRE. Yes, this is where I spend my day-to-day, but as we’ve been the leading driver of this message for the last five years, you’re just now starting to see the other industry players integrate digital into their marketing strategies.

What has been the most rewarding thing about being a part of the team here at RealtyAds?

Seeing all our efforts turn into more. Whether that’s teammates sharpening skills and bringing more to the table or the actual product validating itself with more client wins, it’s been looking back and seeing how much this organization has grown that’s been the most rewarding for me.

Going from a team of one to now a team of four, how has that impacted RealtyAd’s wider team/ growth as a whole?

Investing in and building out an in-house design team has allowed RealtyAds to move faster, deliver clearer and more concise information to our clients, offer another level of service to these clients, and allow us and the client to relay accurate and impactful data.

What does your day-to-day look like?

Every day is different at a startup—that’s half the fun. My day-to-day can vary from planning and developing new platform/website features to iterating and coding UI/UX solutions to building new report templates and branding creative with the design team. I prefer the days when I’m jumping between various projects.

What do you find most rewarding about your job?

I’ve really enjoyed watching the design team grow. It takes time and experience to become an impactful designer, and as the team matures, it’s fun to see the work mature, too. On a personal note, I’ve always found satisfaction in a design moving into production and seeing a concept that started in my head become a part of the RealtyAds’ product.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside of work, you’ll find me playing guitar on my back patio, on a bike ride on the Illinois Prairie Path, grabbing some food/drinks with my wife and dog at a beer garden in town, on a pontoon with a fishing pole in Wisconsin, or keeping those lines straight in the front yard.
