Meet the Team, Charlie McComas

Charlie joined RealtyAds in 2022 as a Senior Director of Growth and has since transitioned into a Senior Vice President of Growth. He brings over a decade of experience in the real estate software industry. In his current position, Charlie focuses on cultivating strategic relationships with investors, owner-operators, and brokerage clients. His expertise and dedication have been instrumental in expanding RealtyAds’ presence and impact in the market. As a vital member of the RealtyAds team, Charlie fosters growth and drives continued success for our clients.

You joined the team in 2022; what initially drew you to work for RealtyAds?

I had the great opportunity to meet Trevor and Harry at a conference in NYC, and we hit it off immediately. After catching up with them post-conference, I was impressed with the company, the team, and the product. At the time, I was partnering with RealtyAds through another software company in the space, so I was always watching from the sidelines as the firm achieved great success. When I spoke with Trevor further, I realized how unique RealtyAds’ opportunity is in bridging the gap between digital marketing and real estate. I also talked with friends in the industry who were using the product and seeing incredible results with huge impacts on their day-to-day operations. I was fortunate to be offered a position on the sales team, and it has been a perfect fit. It’s been a great experience learning and growing here, both as a professional and as a person!

What skills have been most critical to your success in the real estate software industry?

Time management and hard work. One of the most essential skills in sales is knowing how to manage your time effectively—understanding where to focus your energy and which accounts, prospects, or clients to prioritize. From a hard work perspective, I commit countless hours to prospecting, learning, and improving every day. The mindset of “never stop learning” is what drives me and helps me grow consistently.

How do you approach understanding and meeting the unique needs of brokerage clients and owners/operators?

I believe it’s crucial to put yourself in their shoes and truly understand their focus, challenges, and pain points. Identifying the problems we can help solve is key to delivering value.

In what ways does RealtyAds enable you to better support owners/operators, brokers, and investors?

In so many ways! RealtyAds is a results-based company, and our clients see that firsthand. We’ve built a product that delivers tangible results, generating real revenue and opportunities that are easy to track and measure. Plus, we’re at the forefront of the AI revolution in digital marketing. Combining cutting-edge tools and processes with real estate expertise allows us to help clients achieve their goals, whether it’s driving revenue, executing on property strategies, or managing portfolios more effectively.

What has been the most rewarding thing about being part of the team here at RealtyAds?

The friendships I’ve built. I truly value the relationships I’ve formed with the smart, hardworking people here. I know these friendships will last a lifetime, even beyond my time at RealtyAds, whenever that day comes.

What’s your favorite thing about living in the DC/Baltimore area?

Maryland is called “America in Miniature” for a reason. From the Appalachian Mountains in the west to the expansive shoreline in the east, you can do just about anything here. The area’s rich history has shaped the United States, and its diverse landscapes offer something for everyone. Whether it’s boating on the Chesapeake Bay, exploring historic battlefields, or enjoying a crisp fall day in the mountains, there’s no shortage of activities. Plus, the area’s central location makes it easy to travel—whether flying to the West Coast or taking a quick train ride to NYC.

Do you have any favorite restaurants or hidden gems in the DC/Baltimore area?

My wife and I love going to Boatyard in Annapolis. They serve some of the best crab cakes I’ve ever had!
